Here I go reading educational blogs again and finding more stuff.....

1.  I was in awe with these iPad apps for Special Needs Students, especially the Autism Timer app.  If you have kids with Special Needs in your room, these apps are a must look at option for your iPad.

2.  For Social Studies Teachers, these apps would be great addition in the Social Studies classroom for discussion or extended learning activities.

For the History teachers and buffs out there, I have found a free interactive History poster site that can be used with either a computer or any internet device such as an iPad or phone.  Thanks to the great guy at Free Tech for Teachers, the Teaching History site is getting some great promotion.  If you teach a History class you should really check this site out.

Read about 7 GREAT iPad writing apps
In reading a blog feed this morning, I found a great new FREE resource for teachers that would like to create jeopardy type reviews for students.  Until now, this has been a cumbersome process and fairly technical.  This website allows you, the teacher, to create a free account and web host a jeopardy style game.  Your kids can access it anywhere they have internet access.  This would be great for iPad reviews in the classroom!

Cool Math Tool

While reading Free Tech for Teachers this morning, I found this really cool visual math dictionary for kids.  I will definitely be using it with my tutoring kiddos, but thought it might be helpful for those teaching math in the classroom as well!

Pastelink

Sharing files with students and others can be just down right difficult sometimes.  Lugging around a jump drive or "magic stick" or trying to email a large file, zipping a file and still discovering it is too large to email can all be frustrating endeavors.  In reading a blog, Tech for Teachers, the author shared a new web based tool that seems to be the easiest way to share a file to date.  Pastelink allows the user to drag a file from their computer to the website, then the website generates a URL or web address that can be shared through email, social networking, or added to a Google doc.  There are no sign ups required to use the service, but there is a limit of 25MG.  If you choose to sign up for a FREE account, you are allowed to share files up to 2G in size!  I have used it and it works splendidly!
